Biography:

Committeeman Bill Conway is a lifelong Chicagoan, Navy veteran, and former prosecutor representing the 34th Ward, which includes parts of the Loop, West Loop, South Loop, Greektown, and Little Italy. In Chicago City Council, he serves as Vice-Chair of the Finance Committee and is a member of the Committees on Budget, Government Operations, Environmental Protection and Energy, License and Consumer Protection, Special Events, Transportation, and Zoning. Bill has been a reserve Intelligence Officer in the U.S. Navy since 2012, with deployments to Qatar, Afghanistan, and Germany. Recently promoted to Lieutenant Commander, he is the only active military reservist in Chicago City Council's history. A former prosecutor in the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, Bill worked in the Public Corruption & Financial Crimes unit and secured justice for victims of crime. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago, a law degree from Georgetown University, and a B.S. in Accounting from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Bill and his wife Brittany are raising three daughters in the 34th Ward. He is a former solar development business owner and teaches in both the Business School and Law School at Finance at DePaul University.
