Voting by mail is quick and very safe in these times of covid-19. It is a simple process which involves registering in the vote by mail program so that your election authority will confirm you as a registered voter and mail your ballot to you for completion.

Chicago Voters

You can register to vote online at www.chicagoelections.gov. The Election Board also will be sending Vote By Mail applications and postage-paid return envelopes in late July to all voters who have voted in any election(s) since Nov. 2018 and to any voters who have registered for the first time or updated their registrations since March 18, 2020. Last day to register is 10/29/2020.

Chicago voters who apply online between now and Sept. 24 will be among the first to receive ballots. Ballot mailings will begin Sept. 24-Oct. 5.

This is the last day mail in ballots can be postmarked for acceptance.

Suburban Voters
