Biography:

Carolyn R. Carter is a recent retiree who previously served as Director of Community and Business Relations for the Village of Hazel Crest. She currently serves as clerk for Bremen Township and as Committeewoman for the Bremen Township Regular Democratic Organization. Her prior service includes a four-year tenure as a Trustee for Bremen Township, during which she served as Chair of the Intergovernmental Affairs Committee. She is also a member of the Illinois Democratic Women of the Southland Region (IDWSR), the Women League of Voters, and the Democratic Women of the South Suburbs (DWSS).

Ms. Carter's career includes ten years as a director with the American Heart Association, where she managed volunteers, fundraisers, and public awareness campaigns. Her entrepreneurial pursuits include owning and operating a cosmetology business and a limousine company for a combined total of twenty-eight years.

Ms. Carter is a member of Victory Apostolic Church in Matteson, Illinois. She studied at DePaul University and Moody Bible College and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Ministry from Hope Christian School.
